Altice USA will acquire a 94.7 percent majority stake in Portugal-based broadcasting and radio programs company Grupo Media Capital in a transaction valuing the company at $504.2 million. GMC has reported LTM revenues for the period ended March 31 2017 of $181.4 million and LTM EBITDA of $39.9 million, representing an LTM revenue multiple of 2.6x and an LTM EBITDA multiple of 11.8x.

The Chicago-Sun Times will be acquired by an investment group operating under the name ST Acquisition Holdings from Wrapports. The acquisition sees ST Acquisition’s stave off a competing bid from Tronc, the owner of the Chicago Tribune. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Japan-based recruitment company Persol will acquire Australia-based staffing firm Programmed Maintenance Services in a transaction valuing the company at $775 million. PMS has reported LTM revenues for the period ended March 31 2017 of $2.1 billion and LTM EBITDA of $47.7 million, representing an LTM revenue multiple of 0.4x and an LTM EBITDA multiple of 15.9x.
