Technology media and data company International Data Group will be acquired by China Oceanwide Holdings and China-based IDG Capital Partners in a transaction reportedly valued at less than $1 billion. The acquisition will see China Oceanwide control a majority stake in IDG’s operating business with IDG Capital taking a minority stake. The transaction will also see IDG Capital take a majority stake in IDG’s venture business. Financial information was not disclosed.
