Israel-based database security and compliance solutions company Hexatier has been acquired by Huawei Technologies for a reported $42 million. The acquisition provides Huawei with a complementary database security offering. Hexatier had previously raised $14.4 million to date. Financial information was not disclosed.

Web application protection solutions company RedShield Security has raised $6.2 million in Series A funding from Sage Technologies. The company will use the new round of funding for product development initiatives.

Atairos Group has acquired a 25.7 percent stake in human resources outsourcing company TriNet Group (NYSE:TNET) from General Atlantic for $442 million, valuing the company at more than $2 billion. The acquisition brings Atairos Group’s total ownership in TriNet to 28 percent. TriNet has reported LTM revenues for the period ended September 30th of $3 billion and EBITDA of $144 million, representing a 0.7x LTM revenue multiple and 14.1x LTM EBITDA multiple.
