China-based ride sharing company Didi Chuxing will merge with Uber’s China-based division Uber China in a transaction valued at $35 billion. The transaction will see Uber take a 17.7 percent stake in Didi Chuxing with Didi investing an additional $1 billion into Uber at a reported valuation of $68 billion.

SaaS-based fleet management solutions provider Fleetmatics (NYSE:FLTX) has been acquired by Verizon for $2.4 billion in cash. The acquisition of $60 per Fleetmatics share represents a 40 percent premium over the company’s July 29th closing price, and provides Verizon with expanded offerings in the areas of logistics and workforce management. The deal represents approximately 8.5x Fleetmatics 2015 revenue.

Work and resource management solutions company Planview has acquired cloud-based IT project portfolio management company Innotas. The acquisition provides Planview with strengthened offerings for small to midsize companies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
