Microsoft will acquire professional social networking site LinkedIn in a transaction valued at a reported $26.2 billion. The acquisition of $196 per LinkedIn share represents a 50 percent premium over the company’s June 10th closing price. LinkedIn has reported 2015 revenues of $3 billion and the combined company expects to see $150 million in cost savings a year by 2018.

Revenue cycle management solutions provider Cardon Outreach has been acquired by Mednax (NYSE:MD) for a reported $400 million. The acquisition will see Cardon integrated into Mednax’s financial lifecycle services arm MedData. Cardon expects 2016 EBITDA of $35 million.

Medical information systems developer Online Business Applications has been acquired by life sciences software platform Anju Software. The acquisition provides Anju with strengthened medical information request functionality. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Symantec (Nasdaq:SYMC) will acquire cybersecurity company Blue Coat Systems for a reported $4.7 billion. The transaction will see majority investor Bain Capital invest $750 million of the deal’s proceeds back into the combined company. Blue Coat has reported revenues of $600 million for the fiscal year ended April 30th 2016.

Data center security solutions company Arkin Net has been acquired by VMware. The acquisition provides VMware with expanded cloud management and network virtualization capabilities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
