Israel-based Hola, provider of a video distribution network for publishers, has raised $17 million in a round of funding from Iris Capital. The company has raised $30 million to date and will use the new round of funding for building out its engineering and product teams.

News Corp. will acquire social video advertising platform Unruly for $176 million. The acquisition will consist of $90 million in cash and up to $86 million in future consideration. The purchase expands News Corp.’s capabilities in the digital and mobile video area, and will continue to see Unruly operated as separate business unit.

Mobile audience targeting platform developer Go2Mobi has raised an undisclosed strategic growth investment from H.I.G. Capital. The investment provides the company with resources for expanding its presence in the US, Canada, and internationally.

UK-based advertising industry visual effects and content creation studio The Mill has been acquired Technicolor for $292 million. The Mill has reported revenues of $171 million, and the acquisition provides Technicolor with a strengthened client portfolio.

Gray Television (NYSE:GTN) will acquire the radio and television station assets of Schurz Communications for $442.5 million. The acquisition will see Schurz stations incorporated into the Gray Television Group as the company builds out its presence geographically.

Canada-based film and television company Shaftesbury Films has been acquired by Rainmaker Entertainment for $15.5 million. The acquisition enhances Rainmaker’s content creation capabilities as the company continues to explore potential acquisitions.

Canada-based retailer and restaurant point-of-sale system Lightspeed has raised $61 million in a round of funding from QDPC, Accel Partners, and iNovia Capital. The company has raised $126 million to date and will use the funding for investing in its infrastructure and omnichannel offering.

SaaS-based healthcare benefits analysis platform Lumity has raised $14 million in Series A funding led by Social+Capital Partnership with participation from True Ventures and Rock Health. The company will use the round of funding for scaling the rollout of its benefits platform.

Cybersecurity risk management solutions provider Coalfire has raised an undisclosed strategic investment led by The Carlyle Group with participation from Baird Capital. The company will use the funding for expanding its market presence domestically and internationally.

Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has acquired cloud advisory and technology services provider Cloud Sherpas. The acquisition will see Cloud Sherpas integrated into Accenture’s Cloud First Applications team, and provides the company with an expanded consulting unit focused on Salesforce integration. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
