Website contextual help platform AnswerDash has raised $2.9 million in a round of funding from Voyager Capital. The company will use the new round of funding for expanding its marketing and sales teams while building out its product offering.

The company will use the new round of funding for expanding development and marketing efforts while building out distribution channels.

Plexxi, a developer of networking products for data centers and distributed cloud environments, has raised $35 million in a round of funding led by an undisclosed investor with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, and North Bridge Equity Partners. The company has raised $83 million to date and will use the funding for expanding its sales, marketing, and customer support efforts.

Automobile-claims software and services company Solera Holdings (NYSE:SLH) will be acquired by Vista Equity Partners in a deal valued at $6.5 billion. The acquisition includes debt, and represents a 53 percent premium over Solera’s August 3rd share price of $36.39, the day the company announced it was exploring strategic alternatives. Solera has reported revenues of $1.1 billion and EBITDA of over $410 million.

Denmark-based payroll and HR administration software developer Bluegarden Holding has been acquired by Marlin Equity Partners. The acquisition will provide Bluegarden with resources for building out its products and services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
