Priceline (Nasdaq:PCLN) is planning to acquire Rocketmiles, a company that allows travelers to earn additional flier miles through hotel bookings, for an estimated $20 million. The acquisition will encourage Priceline customers to book lodging through its network rather than booking with hotels themselves.

Mobile digital entertainment content provider SEGA Networks, a subsidiary of Sega Sammy Holdings, has acquired independent game developer Demiurge Studios and gaming startup Ignited Artists. The company additionally has made a strategic investment in UK-based gaming studio Space Ape Games. The acquisitions and investment strengthens Sega’s western mobile gaming portfolio. Terms of the deals and the investment were not disclosed.

India-based social commerce startup Wooplr, which develops a fashion discovery app, has raised $5 million in Series A funding from Helion Ventures. The company will use the new round of funding for hiring talent.

Uber has expanded upon its latest round of funding by $1 billion. The additional financing increases the company’s original $1.2 billion Series E funding to $2.8 billion. Rumored investors include Sequoia, TPG, Fidelity Investments, Wellington Management, KPCB, and Menlo Ventures. The company will use the funding round for investing in expansion in Asian regions as well as enhance the capabilities of its UberPool service.

Mobile games marketing platform AppLift has acquired Appiris, a mobile user acquisition platform focused on non-gaming apps. Appiris will integrate under the AppLift brand, and the acquisition will allow AppLift to expand its platform services to all app verticals as it begins to focus on international expansion. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

6sense, developer of a SaaS-based predictive analytics platform for marketing and sales, has raised $20 million in Series B funding led by Bain Capital Ventures with participation from Battery Ventures and Venrock. The company has raised $36 million to date and will use the funding to grow its development and data science team.

Travel technology service BookingPal, which provides professionally managed vacation rental units with exposure and revenue, has raised $5 million in Series B funding led by Thayer Ventures with participation from PAR Capital Ventures, Amadeus Ventures, Camp One Ventures and Plug and Play Ventures. The company has raised $7.5 million to date and will use the round for accelerating platform development and expanding its team.

Real-time content management and engagement platform developer Livefyre has raised $47 million in Series D funding from Adobe, Cue Ball, Greycroft Partners, Hillsven Capital, Salesforce Ventures, and US Venture Partners. The company will use the funding for investing in research and development, sales, and marketing while pursuing expansion in international markets.

UK-based wealth market research and advisory firm Ledbury Research has been acquired by Wealth-X, a provider of wealth intelligence and compliance solutions for the financial services and luxury sectors. The acquisition increases Wealth-X’s capabilities in the high net worth segment and allows it focus on international expansion. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Learning analytics service Renaissance Learning, which has a valuation of over $1 billion, has acquired UClass, a cloud storage and content management service for curriculum catalogs used in school districts. UClass will integrate with Renaissance Learning’s platform and the acquisition provides the company with database capabilities for supplying uniform district content. Omnichannel data platform Revmetrix has raised $2.2 million in a round of funding from Genacast Ventures and .406 Ventures. The company will use the new round of funding for enrolling larger retailers in its pilot program.

The company has raised $14.2 million to date and will use the new funding for building out its product.
