The company has raised $6.2 million to date, and will use the new capital for expanding its online reach through mobile products, big data strategies, and original customer-centric content.


China-based Ctrip.com, a travel service provider for hotel accommodation, ticketing services, and corporate travel management, has acquired UK-based travel content aggregator and distribution solutions provider Travelfusion. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Online-based car community Car Throttle has raised $1.6 million in a round of funding from Redalpine Venture Partners and Passion Capital. The company has raised $2.2 million to date, and will use the new capital for continued audience acquisition.

Cloud-based document and email management service NetDocuments has acquired Decisiv Email, an enterprise-grade email management and predictive email filing solution, from Recommind, an information intelligence and analytics company. Commercial real estate data and analytics company Reonomy has raised $13 million in Series B funding led by Bain Capital Ventures with participation from SoftBank Capital, Resolute Ventures, High Peaks Ventures Partners, KEC Ventures, FinTech Collective, and Solon Mack Capital. The company has raised $18 million to date and will use the new funding for investing in the firms engineering and sales capabilities while fueling expansion into international markets.

Canada-based Claron Technology, a developer of medical image viewing and collaboration software, has been acquired by Lexmark International (NYSE:LXK) for $37 million in an all cash transaction. The acquisition extends Lexmark’s Perceptive Software offering to healthcare providers as it looks to expand its medical content management strategy.


Caremerge, developer of a communication and care coordination platform for the senior care industry, has raised $4 million in a round of funding led by Cambia Health Solutions with participation from Generator Ventures, GE Ventures, Arsenal Venture Partners, and Zieglar-LinkAge. The company will use the new funding for adding strategic relationships with health care providers and technology vendors.


Security as a service solutions provider Alert Logic has acquired Critical Watch, developer of active countermeasure intelligence solutions. The acquisition enhances Alert Logic’s vulnerability and configuration scanning, security analytics, and vulnerability research capabilities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

On-demand private cloud as a service solutions provider Blue Box has raised an additional $4 million to close its Series B round at $14 million. The round was raised by Voyager Capital and Founders Collective, and the new capital will allow the company to continue product innovation while adding additional engineering, sales and marketing, and business development talent.

Software platform developer for local, public safety, and service communications Nixle has been acquired by unified critical communications company Everbridge.
