Sports travel and events management company PrimeSport, which provides a marketplace for buying and selling tickets, has been acquired by The Carlyle Group from Clearlake Capital. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.


China-based Yetang, an eCommerce site focused on fashion and lifestyle products, has raised $5 million in a round of funding from DCM. The company has raised $6 million to date and will use the new capital for improving its site’s technology by expediting customer to access goods from designers and brands in other countries.

Cloud-based analytics and market information solutions provider IRON Solutions, which focuses on increasing the returns on investments for agricultural retailers, has been acquired by Trimble (Nasdaq:TRMB). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Germany-based POSpulse, a retail-analytics startup, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from High-Tech Grunderfonds. The company will use the new capital for expanding its sales team, advancing its analytics platform, and branching into international markets in the coming year.

UK-based Quikkly, which develops a platform that creates personalized action tags, has raised $1 million in a round of funding from Initial Capital with participation from angel investors. The company will use the new funding for global growth.

SaaS-based onboarding platform Appcues has raised $1.2 million in a round of funding from Atlas Ventures and private investors. The company will use the new funding for expanding its core product while moving into mobile and native desktop applications.

Datanyze, a developer of prospecting tools for sales professionals, has acquired digital competitive sales and marketing intelligence provider LeadLedger. Datanyze has recently raised capital from IDG Ventures and Google Ventures and the acquisition will allow the company to expand its overall technology coverage, specifically in the advertising space. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bloomsbury Publishing has acquired UK-based Osprey Publishing, a military and natural history publisher, from Alcuin Capital Partners, for $7.1 million in cash and stock. Osprey will operate within Bloomsbury’s Special Interest Publishing, and the acquisition increases Bloomsbury’s presence in the US and niche interests markets.

Bina Technologies, which provides a big data platform for centralized management and processing of next generation sequencing data, has been acquired by Switzerland-based Roche Holdings. The acquisition will allow Bina to accelerate product development and global commercialization of its Enterprise software system while developing a solution for Roche sequencing systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

China-based application performance management and IT monitoring services provider Cloudwise has raised $15 million in Series B funding from Sequoia Capital. The company had previously raised and undisclosed amount of capital from Gobi Ventures and will use the new funding for spreading geographically while hiring new talent.

Diversis Capital has acquired a majority stake in enterprise-level artwork and label management software developer Blue Software from Matthews International (Nasdaq:MATW). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

UK-based business intelligence and big data software reseller IS Solutions will acquire Speed-Trap Holdings, the parent company of online behavior specialist Celebrus Technologies, a provider of tagging free software for capturing real-time data on individual online visitor behavior, for $11.6 million representing a 4.3x revenue multiple.


Germany-based WeSustain, a developer of enterprise sustainability management software, has raised $4 million in Series B funding from High-Tech Grunderfonds and VNT Management. The company will use the new funding for strengthening market development and sales organization.


Front Desk, a provider of SaaS-based client management and payment processing solutions for personal services businesses, has raised $4 million to complete an $11.2 million Series A round of funding from Floodgate, Version One Ventures, and Second Avenue Partners. The company will use the new capital for building out its product and hiring new talent.


Econveyance, a proprietary online conveyancing solution, has been acquired by Information Services Corporation from OneMove Technologies for $9.5 million. The acquisition falls in line with ISC’s strategy of expanding its products and services by complementing its existing offerings, and provides the company with a new stream of revenue while enhancing its customer support and technical team.


eDiscovery services provider LDiscovery has acquired Turnstone Solutions, a provider of eDiscovery services for large regulated corporations. Turnstone will maintain its brand name after integration, and the acquisition will allow LDiscovery to branch into new geographic markets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Runscope, a developer of tools for supporting modern application development life cycles, has acquired Ghost Inspector, a provider of automated website testing services from the cloud. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Greenio, a developer of web-based online tools for interactive training courses creation, has raised $2 million in a round of funding from undisclosed investors. The company will use the new funding for building out its team and strengthening its product’s market fit.

India-based financial planning service BigDecisions.com has been acquired by News Corp. The acquisition marks News Corps first in India, and will allow BigDecisions.com to expand its product and form new partnerships. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ireland-based payment technology firm 3V has been acquired by SafeCharge, a provider of payment services, risk management, and IT solutions for online businesses, for $17.7 million. The acquisition coincides with SafeCharge’s strategy of moving into new verticals and delivering innovative payment technologies.
