The company will use the new capital for bolstering its sales team, increasing editorial content production, accelerating development of its technology, and its original video production arm.

Social network app Connect Software, which provides a location tracking option for friends, has raised $10.3 million in a round of funding from Kinzon Capital with participation from Bull City Venture Partners. The company has raised $15.9 million to date and will use the new funding for building out its product, growing its engineering team, and expanding internationally.

Social dating network Hinge has raised $12 million in a round of funding from Shasta Ventures with participation from Lowercase Capital, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Eniac Ventures, and CAA Ventures. Kamcord, a mobile gaming broadcast network, has raised $15 million in a round of funding from Japan-based gaming company GungHo Online Entertainment with participation from Wargaming.net, Tencent Holdings, and TransLink Capital. The company has raised $25 million to date.

Predictive analytics applications developer Infer has raised $25 million in Series B funding from Redpoint Ventures. The company has raised $35 million to date, and will use the new capital for bringing its solution to different sales and marketing organizations.

Consumer public relations agency Publicasity has been acquired by Porta Communications (AIM:PTCM) for $3.5 million. Publicasity will work alongside Porta’s PR company Thirteen Communications, and the two firms will operate separately with future plans of integrating Publicasity into one consumer arm.

UK-based mobile and digital services provider for the pharmaceutical industry Exco InTouch has raised $4 million in a round of funding led by Albion Ventures with participation from Scottish Equity Partners. The company will use the new capital for supporting operational development in preparation for increased sales.

Israel-based Silicom (Nasdaq:SILC) has acquired Denmark-based Fiberblaze, a provider of application acceleration solutions for the mobile, telecommunications, network monitoring, cyber security, and financial industries, for $10 million in cash. The acquisition will allow Silicom to implement Fiberblaze technologies into its already existing products.
