The acquisition will increase Sharecare’s reach substantially, and will enable the company to work with larger scale partners such as health plans and health exchanges. Food focused social website Shahiya.com has been acquired by Japan-based Cookpad, a recipe site that allows visitors to upload and search through original and user-created recipes, for $14 million. Shahiya.com will retain its full team, and the acquisition coincides with Cookpad’s global expansion program.

France-based MagicEvent.com, a collaborative consumption website dedicated to business tourism, has raised $1 million in a round of funding from BPI. The company will sue the funding for accelerating growth and internationalization.

Nexstar Broadcasting Group (Nasdaq:NXST) has acquired CBS affiliate KLAS-TV, which serves the Nevada market, for $145 million plus working capital from Landmark Media Enterprises. The acquisition expands Nexstar’s portfolio and reach and will be immediately accretive the company’s operating results.

Assembly, a collaborative engineering and design platform, has raised $2.9 million in a round of funding led by Union Square Ventures with participation from Box Group, Collaborative Fund, and Thrive Capital. The company will use the new capital for supporting additional projects while focusing on hiring more talent.

Cloud data security company CloudLock has raised $6.7 million in a round of funding from Bessemer Venture Partners, Cedar Fund, and Ascent Venture Partners. The company has raised $28 million to date and will use the new funding for expanding its reach in the SaaS security market.

Archway Technology Partners, a provider of software products and outsourced support services for the investment management and private wealth management industries, has acquired WealthTouch Holdings, a provider of consolidated investment reporting services. The acquisition accelerates Archway’s growth strategy as it pursues new opportunities in the wealth management industry. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
