Quebecor’s communications arm TVA Group (TSX:TVA.B) has acquired Vision Globale, a provider of content, distribution, and delivery services for the film and TV industries for $118 million. The acquisition diversifies TVA’s source of revenue, which is predominantly French-language conventional television in Quebec.

Payment marketing platform UpLift, which allows merchants to promote preferred payment types to build brand loyalty, has raised $8.2 million in Series A funding led by IDG Ventures with participation from PAR Capital Ventures and Thayer Ventures. The company will use the new capital for expanding its platform applications, moving into new verticals, and integrating additional data sources for its markets.

Mandalay Digital Group (Nasdaq:MNDL) has agreed to acquire Appia, a mobile user acquisition network, for $100 million in stock excluding debt. Appia has recently raised $40 million in funding from Trident Capital, Venrock, DCM, Noro-Mosely Partners, Wakefield Group, Relay Ventures, and TomorrowVentures.
