Jongla, a provider of a cross-platform instant messaging app, has raised $4.3 million in Series A funding from undisclosed investors. The company will use the new capital for expanding internationally and developing product capabilities.

NetSila SAL, which operates a recipe website, has been acquired by its Japan-based counterpart Cookpad (TSE:2193). Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition is in line with Cookpad’s strategy to grow a more consolidated monthly user base from affiliated sites.

France-based Wipolo, a provider of a social and mobile app to organize and share trips, has been acquired by Accor SA (ENXTPA:AC), a European hotel operator. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition begins a new strategy for Accor as it looks to improve it digital presence.

HouseLens, a provider of real estate video marketing solutions, has raised $2 million in Series A funding from undisclosed investors. The company will use the new capital to for expanding into additional markets and developing its product line.

OpenTV, a provider of software and technology solutions for digital television and advertising applications, has been acquired by Imagine Communications, a provider of video infrastructure and advertising solutions for global TV networks, from Kudelski Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Visible Measures, a provider of video-content measurement solutions for publishers and advertisers, has raised $7 million in Series E funding from General Catalyst Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, DAG Ventures, Northgate, Commonfund, and Advance Publications. The company will use the new capital for continued product growth.

Photofy, which provides a social content creation app, has raised $1.8 million in funding from Capitol Broadcasting Company and other undisclosed investors.

UK-based User Replay, an eCommerce customer experience management startup, has raised $3.3 million in Series A funding led by Episode 1 with participation from EC1 Capital and FSE Group. The company will use the new capital for developing new cloud-based solutions and expanding into in the US.

Capriza, a startup that provides services to migrate existing business applications to mobile, has raised $27 million in Series C funding led by Andreessen Horowitz and Charles River Ventures with participation from Tenaya Capital, Harmony Partners, and Allen Company. The company will use the new capital for scaling business operations, accelerating market penetration, and enhancing its product offering.

Bahrain-based Investcorp has acquired PRO Unlimited, a provider of contingent workforce management software and services for an estimated $300 million.

LiquidSpace, which provides a real-time marketplace for professional meeting and workspace, has raised $14 million in Series C funding led by Roth Capital with participation by Shasta Ventures, Black Diamond Ventures, Lucas Venture Group, Avison Young, GPT Group, and Steelcase. The company will use the new capital for extending product capabilities and scaling operations.

Vigliano Associates, a literary agency that explores for book and TV deals, has been acquired by Y Entertainment, the entertainment vehicle of investment firm Yucaipa Companies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Vigliano Associates will now operate under the name AGI-Vigliano Literary.

The Blackstone Group has agreed to acquire Philadelphia Financial Group, a provider of insurance and investment management solutions, from TipTree Financial (NASDAQ:TIPT) for an estimated $155 million. Blackstone is transacting the deal through it Tactical Opportunities group.

Junction Investments, a provider of an online investment platform, has been acquired by UK-based equity crowdfunding startup Seedrs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition allows Seedrs to expand to the US.

Metalogix, a provider of management tools for mission-critical collaboration platforms, has been acquired by PE firm Permira. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Metalogix has recently raised funding from Bessemer Venture Partners and Insight Venture Partners.

Freightos, which provides SaaS technology for logistics companies to manage contracts, has raised $7.6 million in Series A funding from OurCrowd, Aleph, ICV, and Annox Capital. The company will use the capital for promoting online automation in the freight industry.

Colombia-based myAgri, a provider of software solutions for agriculture and industrial companies, has been acquired by Vistex, a provider of go-to-market solutions. myAgri will continue operations under the name “Vistex Colombia” and will integrate with Vistex solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Systems Made Simple, a provider of health technology solutions for the federal government, has been acquired by Lockheed Martin. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction will broaden Lockheed’s capabilities across the spectrum of health IT operations.

Databanker, a provider of data analytics, privacy, and security solutions, has been acquired by Didean Systems, a provider of a secure post-purchase platform for manufacturers. Databanker will operate under the Didean name, and will seek Series A funding in the near future.

South Africa-based Blueware Consulting, a consulting firm which specializes in Vistex software, has been acquired by Vistex, a provider of go-to-market solutions. Blueware will assume the name “Vistex Africa” and will combine with Vistex global operations to further extend its software and services offering. Terms of the deal were not disclosed

Documotive, a provider of electronic document and records management solutions, has been acquired by Castleton Technology (AIM:CTP), a provider of managed IT services. The acquisition will reduce cost for Castleton, and will streamline processes and improve customer service. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
