France-based Tagcommander, a provider of a platform for tag marketing systems, has received $8.3 million in Series B funding led by Hi Inov-Dentressangle Initiatives with participation from XAnge Private Equity and Bpifrance Digital Ambition Fund. The company plans on using the new capital to accelerate commercial expansion.

Xerox (NYSE: XRX) has acquired Consilience Software, which provides case management and workflow automation software to the public sector. Terms were not disclosed.

LeadGenius, a developer of sales-acceleration solutions, has raised $6 million in Series A funding led by Sierra Ventures with participation Kapor Capital, FundersClub, Fuel Capital, Bee Partners, Scrum Ventures, CRCM, and 500 Startups.

Netherlands-based Netwerven, which offers a social referral recruitment tool, was acquired by USG People (ENXTAM:USG), which provides employment, human resources (HR), education, training, and customer care services. Terms were not disclosed.

TheGrid, a developer of software than can automatically create websites out of any content, has received $3.1 million in funding from Angel investors.

Uniplaces, which provides an online booking platform for students, has raised $3.5 million in Series A funding led by Octopus Investments with participation from Shilling Capital Partners. The company plans on using the new capital to expand in key student cities such as France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.


Crowdfunder.com, a developer of an equity crowdfunding platform, has raised $3.5 million in Series A funding from Bridge 37 Ventures, Ideas & Capital Venture Capital, and Capital Nuts. The company plans on using the investment to expand operations.


DailyDealy.ca, a provider of a flash sale marketing platform, has closed Series A funding for an undisclosed amount. The company intends on using the new capital to introduce new technologies for the geo-targeting mobile marketing industries.


EatStreet, an online and mobile food ordering service, has raised $4 million in a round of funding led by 4490 Investments and the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. The company plans to develop its iOS and android apps, expand into new markets, and double its engineering team.

Rumgr, which provides an app that helps users buy and sell things in their area, was acquired by eBay (Nasdaq:EBAY). Together with e-Bay, Rumgr will launch a new mobile application called Close5. Terms were not disclosed.

CohereOne, which provides customer relationship management solutions, has acquired Binger Catalog Marketing, a catalog creative and marketing agency, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition expands CohereOne’s creative division.

Publicis Groupe has acquired South Africa-based BrandsRock, a brand engagement service provider. BrandsRock will merge with Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa, forming a new entity, Saatchi & Saatchi BrandsRock. Terms were not disclosed.


Perkville, a provider of a platform that enables businesses to create a customer rewards program, has raised $2.4 million is Series A funding led by Moneta Ventures with participation from MDO Holdings, Keiretsu Forum, Sand Hill Angels, Xandex Ventures, and Fifth Era.


Stellar Loyalty, a Philippines-based applications provider and developer of customer loyalty solutions, has raised $5 million in Series A funding led by InterWest Partners. The company plans on using the new capital to expand sales efforts.

Socialarc, which designs and implements social media marketing campaigns, was acquired by Sparkpr, which operates as a technology public relations company. Terms were not disclosed.

OnPeak, which provides hotel booking and housing services for the events industry, was acquired by Viad’s (NYSE:VVI) wholly-owned subsidiary Global Experience Specialists, which provides exhibition and event services. GES also announced the acquisition of Travel Planners, which provides housing for professional associations, trade shows, and conventions. Terms were not disclosed.

Azuqua, a developer of a connectivity platform, has raised $5 million in Series A funding led by Ignition Venture Partners. The company plans on using the new capital to accelerate product development and grow its team.

Avaamo, a provider of a messaging app for the mobile workplace, has raised $6.3 million in funding led by WI Harper Group with participation from Rembrandt Venture Partners, Eleven Two Capital, Streamlined Ventures, and Ovo Fund.



Application analytics company New Relic has acquired New Ducks (dba Ducksboard), which offers a widget for users to track their own data, including sales, inventory, and deliveries. Ducksboard had raised an undisclosed amount of funding from the Madrid-based venture capital firm Kibo Ventures and from angel investors. Terms were not disclosed.


Netherlands-based Labelsoft Clinical, which develops software solutions for general practitioners, care groups, and pharmacies, was acquired Germany-based medical software supplier Compugroup Medical (ETR:COP). Terms were not disclosed.


Evolv, a provider of a SaaS platform for clients to identify, screen, and test potential candidates for various positions, was acquired by Cornerstone OnDemand, a cloud-based software provider for businesses, for $43 million.

TheStreet (Nasdaq: TST) has acquired Management Diagnostics, a UK–based developer of relationship capital management service BoardEx. The deal is valued at $21 million in cash, plus a possible earnout.

UST Global has acquired TCP, an IT consulting company specializing in the development and integration of advanced technology solutions and IT services. The acquisition gives UST Global access to the largest companies operating in Spain and opens up prospects of expansion into European, Latin American and African markets.


Vaco, which provides project and permanent placement services for senior-level accounting, financial, IT, and administrative professionals on a project and consulting basis, was acquired by private equity firm Quad-C Management. Terms were not disclosed. Quad-C management also acquired two other companies Veterinary Specialists of North America and Medical Logistic Solutions.
