MessageMe, a provider of a multimedia messaging application for mobile devices, was acquired by Yahoo (Nasdaq:YHOO). The acquisition will allow Yahoo continue internal development on a mobile messaging app that will target the U.S. mobile messaging market. MessageMe had previously raised $11.9 million.

C2Rewards, which provides a social gaming platform, has sold a majority interest to Wind Creek Hospitality, the gaming operation of the Poarch Creek Indians. WCH and C2Rewards are partnering to form Engage Innovation, to further develop and market the platform. Terms were not disclosed.

Cohere Communications, a provider of telephony and cloud hosting services, has acquired Another9, a provider of cloud computing and data center services. Terms were not disclosed.

Estify, a developer of insurance software for auto repair, has raised $1.5 million in a round led by Romulus Capital and ff Venture Capital. The software automates the integration of car insurance damage estimate data for repairs between insurance companies and body shops.

isentium, which provides real-time sentiment analytics providing predictive of short and medium term price movements of stocks, ETFs, commodities, and indices, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from individual angel investors.

Xceed Technologies, which provides wireless network optimization and rules-based performance management solutions for the wireless industry, was acquired for $30 million by Anite (LSE:AIE), which offers software and solutions to the international wireless market.

Data Center (DCI), the privately owned developer of the iCore360 core banking software and related technologies, has acquired TeleWeb suite of Internet and mobile banking software products from the ProfitStars division of Jack Henry & Associates. Terms were not disclosed.

ClinIntel, which provides trial supply management, was acquired by Parexel, which is a biopharmaceutical services organization providing a broad range of knowledge-based contract research. ClinIntel’s offerings will be combined into the ClinPhone RTSM suite and designed to make patient randomization and clinical supply chain solutions more efficient.  Terms were not disclosed.

Eve, an app to help non-programmers develop software, has raised $2.3 million in seed funding led by Andreessen Horowitz. The company intends on using the new capital to expand the team with developers and a designer.

DCI Design Communications, which provides consulting services on integrated telecommunications, data solutions, IP converged systems, has secured an undisclosed amount of growth equity funding from Light Beam Capital.


Silver Lake Partners has hired Goldman Sachs and Evercore Partners to find a buyer for IPC Systems , a provider of communication systems for Wall Street trader. Silver Lake bought IPC in 2006 for $800 million from GS Capital Partners, and could be seeking more than $1.4 billion.
