Measurabl, which provides SaaS solutions for reporting, has raised $2 million in seed funding led by Crosscut Ventures with participation from industry and professional investors. The company intends on using the funds for product R&D, new hires, and growth.

South Africa-based Applogix, which provides marketing and eCommerce technology, was acquired by WPP’s majority-owned company, Aqua, which is South Africa’s largest digital agency and part of Wunderman. Terms were not disclosed.

Harry & David (OTCPK:HARR), which operates as a multi-channel specialty online retailer and producer of fruits, food products, and other gifts marketed under the Harry & David, Wolferman’s, and Cushman’s brand, was acquired by 1-800-Flowers.com (Nasdaq:FLWS) for $142.7 million at a valuation of 0.3x revenue and 4.9x EBITDA. The acquisition comes three years after Harry & David emerged from bankruptcy.


Sweden-based Aristocrat Lotteries, which is a provider of server-based-gaming and online client server solutions, was acquired for $13.8 million by Playtech (LSE:PTEC), which develops unified software platforms and content for the online and land-based gaming industry.

MindMixer, which provides a tech platform for government organizations to engage with communities, has raised $17 million in Series C funding led by Dundee Venture Capital with participation from Govtech Fund. The company, which has now raised $23.2 million in funding, plans on using the new capital to expand its operation and hire new team members.

UK-based digital marketing services firm XLMedia has acquired Israel-based DAU-UP, which helps game companies acquire mobile users more profitably, for $19 million. DAU-UP (fka ExciteAd Digital Marketing) will enable XLMedia to diversify its holdings.

Publicis Groupe has acquired Nurun, which operates as a global technology consultancy company and offers digital design to businesses, from Quebecor Media for $114 million at a valuation of 0.9x revenue. The acquisition of Nurun is will strengthen Publicis’ digital operations.

Canada-based Complete Innovations, which is a provider of fleet telematics and mobile workforce solutions, has raised an undisclosed amount of private equity funding from Madison Dearborn Partners.

Blackbaud (Nasdaq: BLKB) has acquired MicroEdge, which provides software solutions for the philanthropic giving community, from Vista Equity Partners and Bregal Sagemount. The deal is reportedly valued at approximately $160 million.

Online trading firms OptionsHouse and TradeMonster have announced their intent to merge to meet the demand of mobile trading options. The company’s will focus on scaling up in the online brokerage market. Terms were not disclosed.

RetailCapital, which provides funding solutions to small businesses, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Flexpoint Ford.

Compuware (Nasdaq:CPWR), which provides software solutions and application management tools, was acquired by Thoma Bravo for reportedly $2.5 billion. Compuware has a current market cap of around $2.1 billion.

Acronis, which provides data protection, has acquired Netherlands-based BackupAgent, which offers cloud backup software solutions. Acronis backers include Millennium Technology Ventures, while BackupAgent had raised around $2 million from Runa Capital and Solid Ventures. Terms were not disclosed.


SoftCode, which serves county sheriff departments and offers a complete civil case management solution, was acquired by Tyler Technologies (NYSE:TYL), which provides integrated information management solutions and services for the public sector.  With the acquisition, Tyler broadens its portfolio of courts and justice solutions by complementing its Odyssey product suite. Terms were not disclosed.

IRISmaps, which provides customized, cloud-based solutions that integrate Earth imagery with geospatial and business data to enable organizations to access information and analyze it, was acquired by OmniEarth. Terms were not disclosed.


China-based DXY, which provides an online healthcare services community, has raised $70 million in funding from Tencent. In return, Tencent will receive a minority equity stake in DXY.  The company plans on using the new capital to further its strategy of shifting from products for doctors to consumer healthcare.

Logicalis Group, which is a provider of IT solutions and managed services, has acquired a 51 percent stake in Germany-based ITUMA, which provides Wi-Fi enabled-services such as 3D in-location navigation. Terms were not disclosed.


XRS (Nasdaq:XRSC), which provides mobile fleet optimization software, was acquired by fleet management company Omnitracs, for $178 million at a valuation of 3.5x revenue and 30.6x EBITDA. The acquisition expands Omnitrac’s presence in fleet management and compliance technology.

Core2 Group, which provides solutions for predictive insights on business, brand, and economic performance, has raised $4.3 million in funding led by Blue Chip Venture Company.  The company intends on using the new capital to broaden its business development activities, continue to enhance its suite of predictive business and economic performance solutions, and add to its data analytics team to expand their international coverage.

printing services

Printing services provider AlphaGraphic, was acquired by Western Capital Resources (OTCPK:WCRS), which operates a retail cellular and retail pawn stores.  Terms were not disclosed.


Professional staffing firm Addison Group has acquired CVPartners, which also operates a staffing firm. The deal follows Addison Group’s acquisition in April of HireStrategy, a professional staffing firm. Terms were not disclosed.
