Groupize, which provides a travel-booking technology, has raised $2 million in Series A-1 funding from Thayer Ventures and Golden Seeds. The company, which has raised more than $4.5 million in funding, will use the new capital for sales organization, support of the customer base, and to accelerate the launch of Instant book capabilities for small groups.

DoubleDutch, which provides a mobile events application platform for the enterprise, has raised $19 million in Series D funding led by Mithril Capital Management with participation Bessemer Venture Partners, Index Ventures, and Bullpen Capital, and Singapore-based Enspire Capital. The company intends on using the new capital to expand its global presence, build out its technical teams to scale product deployment, and deliver new features to organizers.

Hightower, a provider of a mobile technology platform that allows landlords and their leasing brokers to track and collaborate on deals in real-time, has raised $6.5 million in Series A funding co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Thrive Capital with participation form RRE Ventures, and Red Swan Ventures.

Fancred, which provides a platform to the sports fan community to capture and share on-field moments, has raised $3 million in funding co-led by Atlas Venture and Militello Capital with participation from Breakaway Innovation Group. The company intends on using the new capital to continue product development and user improvements, team growth, and strategic partnerships.

India-based Zomato Media, owner of the restaurant, event listing and review site Zomato.com, has acquired online restaurant search service providers Czech Republic-based Lunchtime.cz and Obedovat.sk for $3.3 million. Post the acquisitions, both Lunchtime and Obedovat teams will work closely with the Zomato team.



Lastline, which provides a malware defense platform, has raised $10 million in funding led by Dell Ventures and Presidio Ventures with participation from Redpoint Ventures and e.Ventures. The company plans on using the new capital to expand globally.

Zumigo, which provides mobile device location and identity verification solutions, has raised $6 million in Series B funding led by Intel Capital with participation from Aligned Partners. The company intends on using the new capital to accelerate product development, as well as sales and marketing efforts.


The Riverside Company has acquired Lexipol, which provides policy management and training platforms for public safety organizations. Terms were not disclosed.
