Automated Insights, which provides real-time content automation software, has raised $5.5 million in funding led by Osage Venture Partners, with participation from Samsun Ventures and IDEA Fund Partners. The company has raised $10.8 million in funding to date, and plans on using the new capital to continue expanding into new markets.

Launch International, which provides companies with integrated marketing and sales enablement programs, was acquired by Corporate Visions, which provides sales and marketing messaging solutions for business-to-business companies. Terms were not disclosed.

Israel-based questions and answers platform Senexx, was acquired by Gartner (NYSE:IT), which provides research analysis on information technology, software, communications. Gartner will use Senexx to enhance its web search capability and augment its content recommendation engine and proprietary social platforms. The deal is reportedly valued between $15 million and $20 million. Terms were not disclosed.

Finland-based Seriously Digital Entertainment, which develops mobile games, has raised $2.7 million in funding led by Sunstone Capital and Upfront Ventures, with participation from Daher Capital. The company, which has now raised $5 million in funding, plans on using the new capital for content development and building out their team.

ArtBinder, which develops a mobile application for art galleries to present their work digitally, has raised $3.2 million in Series A funding led by Index Ventures, with participation from individual investors. The company plans on using the new capital to expand its latest product.

Music streaming mobile application Songza, was acquired by Google (Nasdaq:GOOG). Songza’s technology uses information about the user and context to determine the best playlists, which will enable Google to use human curation to enhance its own music services. The deal is reportedly valued for $15 million. Songza had raised $6.7 million in funding from investors like Amazon, Deep Fork Capital, Lerer Ventures, and Metamorphic Ventures.

Music discovery mobile application TastemakerX, was acquired by Rdio, a provider of an on-demand music service. Rdio has raised around $17.5 million in VC funding from Atomico, Skype and Mangrove Capital Partners. TastemakerX had raised around $3 million from AOL Ventures, Baseline Ventures, True Ventures and Guggenheim Venture Partners. Terms were not disclosed.

Mobile ad network operator Tapad, has raised $7 million in Series B-2 funding led by FirstMark Capital, with participation from Firsthand Technology Value Fund and Avalon Ventures. The company plans on using the new capital to further develop its infrastructure in Europe, as well as continue its international expansion and further broaden its U.S. product offering.

Video advertising platform TriVu was acquired by online advertising marketplace Adknowledge. The acquisition comes after Adknowledge acquired Giant Media, a video platform that distributes content for brands. The acquisition enables Adknowledge to further expand in the video advertising sector. Terms were not disclosed.

India-based talent search platform MakeMyJob was acquired by staffing and recruiting company Advantage One Group. Terms were not disclosed.

Crown Partners, which designs and builds websites and offers website infrastructure support solutions, was acquired by Publicis Group (ENXTPA:PUB). Crown Partners will be aligned with Razorfish and will further accelerate the agency’s growth in commerce, marketing, and content technology platform-related services. Terms were not disclosed.

Marketing and communications agency Travers Collins, was acquired by The Martin Group, which provides consumer and business-to-business advertising services. Terms were not disclosed.

Waxahachie Newspapers, which includes the Waxahachie Daily Light, Midlothian Mirror and Ellis County Trading Post, along with their digital and mobile platforms, have been acquired by New Media Investment Group (NYSE:NEWM), which owns, operates, and invests in local media assets. New Media also announced that it has purchased weekly newspaper publisher Progress-Index. Together, the two acquisitions were purchased for $15.3 million.

Involta, a managed IT, cloud computing, and data services company, has raised $50 million in equity funding led by M/C Partners, with participation from Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners. The company plans on using the funds to make strategic acquisitions, provide shareholder liquidity, and support its growth in offering colocation and managed services nationally.

Longview Solutions, which provides software solutions for planning, budgeting, and forecasting to enterprise customers, was acquired by private equity firm Marlin Equity Partners. Terms were not disclosed.

Israel-based cybersecurity platform Hexadite has raised $2.5 million in seed funding led by YL Ventures, with participation from individual investors. The company plans on using the new capital to further expand, both in R&D and its sales and marketing teams.
