India-based CRM product company CRMnext, had received an undisclosed amount of funding from Norwest Venture Partners. The company plans on using the new capital to expand globally and increase its research and innovation portfolio.

Social customer relationship management solutions provider Earshot, has raised $1.7 million in funding led by Birchmere Ventures, with participation from Centerboard Group, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Point B Capital, Serra Ventures, and TriplePoint Ventures.

Mobile ad retargeting startup TapCommerce, was acquired by social media platform Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) for a reported $100 million.  Prior to the acquisition, TapCommerce had raised $10.5 million in Series A funding from RRE Ventures, Metamorphic Ventures, Eniac Ventures, Nextview Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, and Pereg Ventures. The acquisition enables Twitter to improve its new feature the mobile app install ads, which was launched today.

Social analytics and TV guidance company TweetTV, was acquired by ConnecTV, a social TV video network that enables users of its mobile app watch and share videos. The acquisition enables ConnecTV with new tools to analyze what content is being shared on various social media platforms. Terms were not disclosed.

Online jewelry Company Chloe + Isabel, has raised $15 million in Series C funding led by SoftBank Capital, with participation from General Catalyst Partners, First Round Capital, Forerunner Ventures, and Floodgate Fund. The company intends on using the new capital to enhance product categories.

Mobile application development services provider Sourcebits, was acquired by  Globo (AIM:GBO), which develops a multi-platform for enterprise mobility management and telecom software solutions. Sourcebits had previously raised $10 million in funding from IDG Ventures and Sequoia Capital. Terms were not disclosed.

Anonymous social networking application developer Yik Yak, has raised $10 million in funding led by DCM, with participation from Azure Capital Partners and RenRen (NYSE:RENN). The company plans on using the new capital to build out infrastructure, hire new engineers, and expand nationally and globally.

Social loyalty and rewards providerplatform CrowdTwist, has raised $9 million in Series B funding led by StarVest Partners, with participation from Fairhaven Capital and SoftBank Capital. The company, which has now raised $20 million in funding, plans on using the new capital to scale and grow its business.

Moi, a provider of services that allow users to stream video on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, has raised $5 million in Series A funding led by East Ventures and Sinar Mas Group. The new capital will be used to expand the company’s service globally.

mobile marketing

Mobile advertising platform Grow Mobile, was acquired by Israel- based Perion Network (Nasdaq:PERI), which designs and markets a suite of downloadable consumer products, for $42 million. Grow Mobile will become a part of Perion’s new Lightspeed mobile marketing division. For now its standalone product will continue as is, but ultimately, the plan is to integrate Grow Mobile into a bigger platform that Perion is building.

UK-based newspaper and magazine publisher Mecom Group (LSE:MEC), was acquired for $334 million by Belgium-based De Persgroep Publishing, which also operates as a magazine publisher, at a valuation of 0.3x revenue and 3.5x EBITDA.

Big data technology provider Databricks, which provides technology software for analyzing and extracting data, has raised $33 million in Series B funding led by NEA and Andreessen Horowitz. The round brings the company’s total funding to $47 million.

Hadoop technology company MapR Technologies, has raised $80 million in Series D funding led by Google Capital, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Mayfield Fund, NEA, and Redpoint Ventures. In addition to the equity financing, MapR secured a debt facility of $30 million led by Silicon Valley Bank. The company plans on using the new capital to continue its growth in the big data and analytics segment, increase worldwide go-to-market programs to accelerate the deployment of MapR.

Big data technology developer OhmData, was acquired by UK-based WANdisco, which provides collaboration software to the software development industry, for $2.4 million. The acquisition allows WANdisco to advance its big data strategy.

India-based banking and risk management solutions firm Beans & Intellect Financial Technology, was acquired by Miles Software, a provider of technology solutions for the wealth and asset management industry.  Terms were not disclosed.

Truveris, a SaaS provider that aims to bring more transparency to pharmacy billing, has raised $12.3 million in funding Series C funding led by Canaan Partners, with participation from New Leaf Venture Partners, Tribeca Venture Partners, New Atlantic Ventures, and First Round. The company intends on using the funds to scale sales and marketing teams and further product development.

CoreOS, which develops an operating system for servers, has raised $8 million in funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, with participation from Sequoia Capital and Fuel Capital. The company plans on using the new capital for product development and to expand globally.

healthcare consulting

WhiteGlove Health, a provider of chronic care and population health management solutions, has acquired Glenridge HealthCare Solutions, a provider of tech-enabled network development and consulting services. Terms were not disclosed. WhiteGlove is a portfolio company of Enhanced Equity Funds and Biomark Capital.
