eCommerce platform developer Commerce Guys, has raised $7.3 million in Series B funding led by ISAI, Alven Capital, and Open Ocean Capital. The company, which has now raised $12.3 million to date, plans on using the new capital to launch its “Platform.sh” product, as well as boost its sales and marketing efforts.

RichRelevance, which offers technology allowing eCommerce sites to track user behavior and provide more personalized shopping experiences and better recommendations to their customers, has raised $20 million in growth capital funding. The round was led by Centerview Capital Technology, with participation from Draper Fisher Jurveston, Greylock Partners, Crosslink Capital, and Shea Ventures. The company plans on using the new capital to expand the business internationally and continue to create new shopping experience across online, mobile, and in store.

Online calendar and mobile app design company Cozi, was acquired by media company Time Inc. (NYSE:TIME.WI), the company which will spin off Time Warner this month. The acquisition allows Time Inc. to expand into the productivity category. Terms were not disclosed.

Mobile travel-guide app developer Desti, was acquired by Nokia’s Here Maps division, from SRI International. The acquisition was made as an effort to boost search personalization on the Nokia platform. Nokia will merge the Desti assets into it’s HERE mapping business. Terms were not disclosed.

goDog Fetch, a developer of a cloud-based mobile personal digital assistant technology, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding led by Analytics Ventures.

Big data application platform Concurrent, which enables the  development of applications that run on the file system known as Apache Hadoop, has raised $10 million in Series B funding led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from Rembrandt Ventures and True Ventures. The company plans on using the new capital for research and development of its flagship product.

UK-based data management software solutions provider Utiligroup, was acquired by Northedge Capital Partners from Bglobal Public (AIM:BGBL), for$27 million. Bglobal had acquired Utiligroup back in May 2010 for $17.2 million.

Brazil-based iLab Sistemas, a provider of planning and optimization solutions for the agriculture business sector, was acquired by Sweden-based Hexagon (OM:HEXA B), a provider of integrated design, measurement, and visualization technologies. Terms were not disclosed.

healthcare software

RevPoint Healthcare Technologies, a provider of revenue cycle tools that increase patient collections, was acquired by Availity, which offers information exchange between various healthcare stakeholders through network solutions. The acquisition accelerates Availity’s reach into the hospital and health system sectors. Terms were not disclosed.

security software

Israel-based cyber security company Fortscale Security, has raised $10 million in funding led by Intel Capital and Blumberg Capital, with participation from The Swarth Group. The company plans on using the new capital to expand its R&D and analytics team.

Trade data content provider Customs Info, was acquired by The Descartes Systems Group (TSX:DSG), a provider of a federated network and logistics technology solutions. Terms were not disclosed.

HighWire Press, a platform that provides peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly content, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Accel-KKR. With the equity investment, Accel-KKR will own a majority interest of the company.
