InsideSales.com, which offers a cloud-based, SaaS-based “sales acceleration” software platform, has raised $100 million in Series C funding at a $1 billion valuation. The investment was led by Polaris Partners, with participation from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Acadia Woods, EPIC Ventures, Salesforce.com, Zetta Venture Partners, Hummer Winblad, and U.S. Venture Partners. The company plans on using the new funds to expand its portfolio of technology solutions for sales teams, as well as enter new geographic markets.

Content recognition technology provider Enswers, which analyzes images, audio, and video content and then creates a unique digital fingerprint that identifies the content, has raised $2 million in strategic investment from Samsung Venture Investment. The company will use the new funding to expand in the European and American markets.

UK-based B2M Solutions, a provider of mobile device analytics and process optimization software for enterprise customers, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Motorola Solutions Venture Capital.

Online car classified startup Carmudi, has raised $10 million in funding led by Tengelmann Ventures. The company intends to use the funds to expand its Asian operations.


UK-based Secretsales, a flash sales website for fashion, accessories, footwear, and lifestyle products, has raised $4.5 million in funding led by Partech Ventures, 123Venture, Pentech, and individual investors.  The company intends on using the funds to accelerate strategic priorities, including the implementation of new, customer acquisition and retention initiatives, and the bolstering of its infrastructure and technology platform.

Ondot Systems, a provider of a mobile platform for consumers to control their payment cards, has raised $18 million in funding led by private investors. CardControl allows users to lock or unlock cards, specify location preferences for “active around me” or a region on a map, set merchant categories, transaction types, and spend limits, view available balances, analyze spending trends, and manage transactions.

Wanderful Media, a company helping retailers bring consumers into local stores and gives consumers convenient ways to discovery local merchandise, has raised $14.5 million in funding led by A.H. Belo Corp, Community Newspaper Holdings, Cox Media Group, The E.W. Scripps Co., Gatehouse Media, Graham Holdings, Hearst Corp., Lee Enterprises, MediaNews Group, and the McClatchy Company. The company, which has now raised $50.5 million since launch in September 2012, intends on using the funds to expand operations and its innovation efforts for Find&Save apps.

Sweden-based Hallvarsson & Halvarsson Group has acquired communications and public relations firm Springtime. The group consists of three communication agencies: Hallvarsson & Halvarsson, KW Digital, and Springtime. Terms were not disclosed.

Opvizor, which provides predictive analysis and issue prevention in virtual data environments, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Texas Atlantic Capital and Wellington Partners, with participation from Gamma Capital Partners.

Jaspersoft Corporation, a provider of embedded business intelligence (BI) and reporting software, was acquired by TIBCO Software (NasdaqGS:TIBX), which offer infrastructure and business intelligence software ($185 million).



Germany-based metaquark, a provider of solutions that enable the management of mobile users, devices, and security profiles in a single location, simplifying the process of distributing new apps and updates, was acquired by Software AG (XTRA:SOW), which offers business process management, data management, and consulting services. Terms were not disclosed.  The acquisition will add new mobile features to Software AG’s Intelligent Business Operations and webMethods platforms.


Enterprise collaboration application developer Slack, which also provides application management solutions, has raised $42.8 million in Series C funding at around a $220 million valuation. The round was led by Social+Capital Partnership, with participation from Accel Partners and Andreessen Horowitz.

Israel-based Datumate, a provider of “field-to-plan” technologies for the civil engineering and architecture industries, has raised $5 million in funding led by Battery Ventures, with participation from Al-Bawader. The company plans on using the new capital to continue product innovation, grow into more markets, and acquire more customers worldwide.

Cinven has acquired a 31.3 percent stake in Norway-based Visma Group Holdings, a provider of business management software, from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. As part of the transaction, KKR also has sold part of its position to HgCapital – with all three firms now holding 31.3 percent positions. No financial terms were disclosed, except that Visma is now valued at around $3.5 billion. Other backers include Storebrand and Illmarinen.

Tradier, a financial services cloud brokerage provider that offers a solution to serve platform providers and investor, has raised $3.1 million in Series A funding led by Devonshire Investors. The new funding will be used to expand its product and customer acquisition.

Healthcare fraud technology provider Fortel Analytics, was acquired by Truven Health Analytics, a provider of healthcare analytics and data solutions, and services. The acquisition gives Truven Health access to a suite of predictive solutions, analysis methods, and analytic technology designed to identify suspicious patterns in healthcare insurance claims data. Terms were not disclosed.

Press Ganey, a patient experience improvement firm, has acquired Dynamic Clinical Systems (DCS), a patient-reported outcomes (PRO) services and solutions provider. The acquisition expands Press Ganey’s Patient Voice portfolio for health care organizations with the ability to collect, measure, and analyze patient-reported data.
