Connectivity, a software provider of customer intelligence and engagement solutions for businesses, has raised $6.4 million in Series A funding led by Greycroft Partners, with participation from Rincon Venture Partners, Daher Capital, Double M Partners, TenOneTen Ventures, and SLP Ventures. The company plans on using the new funds to accelerate planned enhancements to its platform.

Wish, a technology company that helps improve online advertising relevancy and content, has raised $19 million in funding co-led by GGV Capital and Formation8. The company has raised $20.7 million in funding to date.

website creation/hosting

Scroll Kit, a developer of a platform that lets users develop websites without writing code, was acquired by Automattic, which is the company behind WordPress. Automattic currently is in the midst of a new fundraising round that could print in between $100 million and $150 million, and previously raised more than $150 million from such firms as Tiger Global, True Ventures, Iconiq Capital, Polaris Partners and Radar Partners. Terms were not disclosed.

Line Digital, which is a Web design and development and online marketing strategy, was acquired by marketing firm Cello Group (AIM:CLL), a provider of market research, consulting, and direct marketing service. Cello said the newly acquired Line Digital business will be fully integrated into its Blonde Digital business. Terms were not disclosed.

Japan-based Freee, a provider of automated online accounting software for small and mid-sized businesses, has raised $8 million in Series B funding from DCM and Infinity Capital Partners. The company, whose target market is small and medium-sized businesses, expects to use the Series B funding for product development. It plans to integrate with additional business tools, add collaboration features and enhance the user interface.

Tradier, a financial services cloud brokerage provider that offers a solution to serve platform providers and investors, has raised $3.1 million in Series A funding led by Devonshire Investors, with participation from existing angel investors. The company intends on using the funds to accelerate product development, and grow developer adoption.

hr software

UK-based human resources and payroll software provider Cascade, was acquired by software company IRIS Software Group, a provider of business critical software and services to the UK accountancy and payroll sector. Terms were not disclosed.

software development tools

Germany-based Crate Data, an open source data store for developers, has raised $1.5 million in funding from Sunstone Capital and DFJ Esprit. The company intends on using the funding to continue to develop and expand its solutions.
