The company intends on using the newly raised funds to expand its loan offerings to include mortgages and personal loans. The company has raised $161 million in funding to date.

Spain-based Hot Hotels, which provides mobile same-day hotel booking, has raised $1 million in funding led by Bolt Accelerator, ENISA, and Axon Partners Group. The company intends on using the new capital to develop and expand through Latin America.


Germany-based Westwing Home & Living, which operates an online furniture shopping club, has raised $92.6 million in funding led by Fidelity Worldwide Investment, Odey, and Tengelmann. The round brings the company’s total funding to $143 million, and plans will be used to expand its business.

GameChanger Media, a developer of a mobile application for scorekeeping and statistics management for youth, high school, and college baseball and softball teams, has raised $6.8 million in Series B funding led by Trilogy Equity Partners, with participation from Tenfore Holdings, and Costanoa Venture Capital. The newly raised funds will be used for team expansion. The company has raised $10.5 million in investments to date.

Mobile application developer Gemshare, which offers users recommendations for local services, has raised $1.3 million in seed funding led by Greylock Partners and Second Avenue Partners. The application enables to view recommendations from their friends and selected networks.

TV by the Numbers, a provider of television ratings data and analysis, was acquired by Tribune Digital Ventures. The acquisition is part of a relaunch of Tribune Co.’s Zap2it website, which features television listings and entertainment news for viewers. TV by the Numbers content has been embedded in the Zap2it website since 2010. Terms were not disclosed.

Online image hosting and sharing services platform Imgur, has raised $40 million in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Reddit. The company will use the new capital to continue with product development and innovation.

Germany-based real-time bidding solutions provider Sociomantic Labs, was acquired by UK-based Dunnhumby, the data and consumer insights unit of Tesco PLC (LSE:TSCO). The acquisition is reportedly valued in the $175-200 million range, and marks Dunnhumby’s first advertising acquisition. Terms were not disclosed.

TrackIF, which provides a site for users to track products and services in domains across various categories, has raised$3 million in debt funding led by Chicago Ventures, Wisconsin Investment Partners, New Capital Fund, and Confluence Capital.

Mobile marketing platform Apploop, has raised $1.3 million in funding led by HitFox Group.  The company serves in over 50 different countries for 30 advertisers from verticals such as social, eCommerce, media, utilities, travel, and classifieds.

Germany-based mobile targeting and analytics platform Datamonk, was acquired by incubator HitFox Group. The acquisition expands HitFox’s reach in mobile monetization deals.

Levels Beyond, which provides media management and monetization capabilities for video content producers, has raised $2.5 million in funding from TVC Capital, which closes the company’s Series A funding round at $7 million. The new capital is expected to be used to further expand the Levels Beyond platform, and brings the company’s overall investments to a total of $11.5 million.

UK-based AdGenie, which provides a solution to track and measure the effectiveness of a business’s online advertising efforts, was acquired by UK-based Ve Interactive, a company that offers solutions to convert online cart abandonments. Terms were not disclosed.

Art.sy, a provider of an art discovery platform that features work from galleries, museums, and private collections around the world, has raised $18.5 in Series B funding led by Thrive Capital, with participation from IDG Capital Partners and ZhenFund.  The new capital raised brings the company’s funding to a total of $25.8 million.

Spredfast, which offers social relationship platforms for large brands and agencies, and Mass Relevance, a company providing social marketing experiences for brands and media companies, announced that they are merging. The combined company will operate under the name Spredfast. Terms were not disclosed.

Digital agency Ammirati, which provides design, advertising, and social services, was acquired by digital marketing firm Resource. The newly combined agency plans to announce a new name in the coming months. Terms were not disclosed.

Taiwan-based digital agency WinWin Media, which offers Web, mobile, and social media marketing services, was acquired by Icicle Group, a marketing supply chain management company. The acquisition marks a step towards Icicle’s goal of developing its network of local expertise and knowledge in Asia. Terms were not disclosed.

Enterprise mobility software developer Fonemine, has raised $4.5 million in Series B funding led by Michigan eLab. The new round of capital brings the company’s total funding to $11.3 million. The company intends on using the new capital raised to expand into new markets, as well as make further investments in sales, business development, and marketing efforts.

France-based Memobox, which provides telecom cost management solutions for fixed and mobile telephony, was acquired by Saaswedo, which offers an editor software solutions for Telecom Expense Management. Terms were not disclosed.

infrastructure software

Boundary, a provider of cloud infrastructure management solutions, has raised $22 million in Series C funding led by Adams Street Partners, with participation from Triangle Peak Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Scale Venture Partners. The company, which has now raised $41 million in funding, will use the capital to expand development of products and technology, as well as strengthen sales and marketing capabilities.

UK-based email security and management company Critical Software, was acquired by internet services provider j2 Global (NasdaqGS:JCOM). This acquisition expands j2’s UK and European email security customer base; sales, support and technical expertise; and infrastructure.  Terms were not disclosed.

Bswift, which offers software and services that streamline benefits, HR, and payroll administration for employers, has raised $51.2 million in minority equity funding from Great Hill Partners. The company will use the funds to further strengthen its service and technology offerings.


Physician’s Billing Alternative (PBA), a provider of medical billing and collections solutions for physicians and healthcare organizations nationwide, was acquired by edgeMED, a company offering cloud-based medical office software.  Terms were not disclosed.

The Roberts Group, which provides market data cost and inventory management solutions to the financial services industry, has sold a controlling stake to Polaris Partners. Terms were not disclosed.

Canada-based Carbon60 Networks, which provides cloud computing and managed IT services to enterprises and public sector clients, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Roynat Equity Partners.

Meltwater Drive Sverige has made an offer to acquire Cision, a provider of public relations and marketing services, for reportedly $138 million.
