Sprig, which offers food delivery service and gives customers a choice of three different meal choices for delivery, has raised $10 million in funding led by Greylock Partners. Customers pay $10 per entrée along with a flat $2 delivery fee. The average delivery time is 20 minutes. The company will use the newly raised funds to expand into new markets.

Gamblit Gaming, which provides real money gaming solutions for mobile games, has raised $12 million in funding led by American Capital. The company, which has now raised $20m, intends to use the funds to continue to grow its platform and operational infrastructure in preparation for live operations later this year.

Ozy Media, an operator of a daily news and information site, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Axel Springer. The company previously raised $5.4 million in seed funding from a group of private investors.

UK-based FusePump, which provides a solution that refers consumers to product offers and allows brands to promote their retail partner offers in other digital channels, was acquired by digital agency network Wunderman. FusePump will now operate as a part of Wunderman’s data and Insights division. The move is designed to strengthen Wunderman’s data offerings in Europe. Terms were not disclosed.

Chef marketplace Kitchensurfing, which provides a platform that matches customers who want restaurant-quality food with chefs who can make it in their home or office, has raised $15 million in Series B funding led by Tiger Global Management, with participation from Union Square Ventures and Spark Capital. Kitchensurfing will use the new funds to grow its team and expand to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Berlin. The latest round of funding brings the company’s total funding to $19.5 million.

UK-based ScreenHits, which operates a marketplace for content acquisition and interactive digital video audience feedback, has raised $1.2 million in funding led byindividual angels. The online platform that lets content producers sell their content directly to broadcasters and consumer.

UK-based Stylus Media Group, which is 20 percent owned by Hearst, has acquired Decoded Fashion, a company focused on creating global events at the intersection of fashion and retail.  Decoded Fashion connects fashion leaders with new and established technology and fosters creative partnerships between startups, designers, retailers and media professionals. Terms were not disclosed.

Carolina Public Relations has merged with Chernoff Newman, an integrated marketing communications agency. Through the merger, Chernoff Newman will have offices in Charlotte and Orlando. Terms were not disclosed.

ClearStory Data, which provides big data exploration software solutions, has raised $21 million in Series B funding led by DAG Ventures, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Google Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. The new capital raised will be used to expand in four areas-consumer packaged goods, national retail, health care, and global financial services. The company has raised $31.5 million in funding to date.

Crossbar, a provider of solutions for the global memory storage industry, has raised $25 million in Series C funding led by SAIF Partners, Korea Investment Partners, CBC-Capital, and Tao Venture Capital Partners, with participation from Artiman Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Northern Light Venture Capital, and the University of Michigan. The company plans on using the funds to complete manufacturing and licensing operations. The new round of capital brings the company’s total funding to $45.6 million.

Govplace, which designs, deploys, and manages enterprise IT solutions for the public sector, has sold its Irvine division of its company to Vology, which sells new and certified pre-owned networking and telecommunication solutions. The acquisition adds a second physical location in California to support Vology’s rapidly expanding California customer base and support deployment of complex technology solutions throughout the region. Terms were not disclosed.

App developer Handshake, which provides a sales order management application, has raised $8 million in Series A funding led by Emergence Capital Partners, with participation from BOLDstart Ventures, Point Nine Capital, MHS Capital, High Parks Venture Partners, and SoftTechVC. The company will use the new capital to grow its wholesale sales ordering application.

Russia-based mobile payments startup 2Can, has raised $5 million in Series B funding led by InVenture Partners, with participation from Almaz Capital Partners and ESN Group. The cash will be used to integrate with leading Russian banks and accelerate the product. The company has raised $7 million in funding to date.

Data Center Technology

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. is reportedly in talks to acquire a control stake in Brazil-based data center operator Aceco TI. The company reportedly is valued at around $664 million. Sellers would include the controlling Nitzan family (which would retain a minority interest) and General Atlantic (which purchased a minority position two years ago).
