Cloud storage company Dropbox, which operates a platform that enables users to upload, store, edit, synchronize, and share files, has raised $350 million in Series C funding, at a $10 billion valuation from BlackRock, Morgan Stanely, and T. Rowe Price Associates. The company is reportedly considering an IPO late in 2014. The new capital raised brings the company’s total funding to $607 million.

Online retailer of mattresses Casper Sleep, has raised $1.6 million in seed funding led by Lerer Ventures, with participation from Norwest Venture Partners, Crosslink Partners, Vaizra Investments, and Correlation Ventures.

Bash Gaming, which develops casino games for social and mobile platforms, was acquired by entertainment company Game Show Network, for a reported $160 million. The acquisition supports GSN’s strategy to build a diverse business that operates across all major platforms, with a broad portfolio of titles in both social casino and skill tournament genres.

Noteflight, which operates an online music writing application and community that enables users to create, view, print, and hear music notation with professional quality, was acquired by music print publisher and digital content provider Hal Leonard Corporation. Noteflight will operate as an independent company, within Hal Leonard’s overall global operations. Terms were not disclosed.

Social learning network Piazza Technologies, which operates a platform for students to post questions anonymously, has raised $8 million in Series B funding led by Khosla Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners. The company has raised $15.5 million in funding to date.

JAZD Markets, which offers online B2B marketing services, lead generation services, and newsletter campaigns, has sold its technology and substantially all business assets to Questex Media Group, a provider of business-to-business integrated media and information services. The acquisition of the Jazd Markets platform will enable Questex to integrate Jazd’s marketplace, lead-generation, and directory features into web and mobile properties across its vertical market groups. Terms were not disclosed.

Spree Commerce, which provides an open-source eCommerce platform for retailers, has raised $5 million in Series A funding led by Thrive Capital, with participation from Vegas Tech Fund, Red Swan Ventures, True Ventures, and AOL Ventures. The new capital will be used to develop products and expand operations.

3D CIOs, which provides Microsoft CRM and Sharepoint consulting services, was acquired by information technology consulting services company Innovative Computer Systems. The acquisition adds new capabilities to ICS, and broadens its market share. Terms were not disclosed.

Mobvoi, a developer of mobile voice search services, has raised $10 million in Series B funding led by SIG, with participation from Sequoia Capital and ZhenFund. The company has raised $11.6 million in funding to date.

UK-based design consultancy firm HMKM, was acquired by brand consultancy company Interbrand, which offers analytics, brand strategy, and corporate design. The acquisition further strengthens Interbrand’s position in the retail sector. Terms were not disclosed.

South Africa-based digital media agency Lighthouse Digital, was acquired by France-based Publicis Groupe (ENXTPA:PUB), which offers a range of traditional and digital online advertising services. Lighthouse Digital will become part of Publicis division Starcom MediaVest Group. As part of Starcom MediaVest Group, the agency will be rebranded as SMG Lighthouse. SMG South Africa will have more than 80 employees following the Lighthouse deal. Lighthouse joins existing SMG agency brands LiquidThread and Starcom Johannesburg. Terms were not disclosed.

CAA Sports has acquired Inside Sports & Entertainment Group, a full-service corporate-hospitality, event-management, and marketing firm, as a wholly owned subsidiary. The acquisition comes shortly after CAA backed out of bidding for IMG, the global sports and fashion agency, which WME acquired for $2.3 billion in December. Terms were not disclosed.

Poland-based creative digital marketing agency Lemon Sky, was acquired by WPP’s global marketing communications agency JWT. Following the acquisition, Lemon Sky will join JWT Warsaw to create an integrated communications agency for Poland. Lemon Sky’s unaudited revenues as of December 31st, 2013 were $3.7 million. Terms were not disclosed.

The Trade Desk, which operates a bidding platform and service for buying digital media and data, has raised $20 million in Series B funding led by Hermes Growth Partners, with participation from IA Ventures. The company intends on using the funding for expansion into international markets, including Europe, Asia Pacific, Australia, and Northern Asia. The company has raised $22.5 million in funding to date.

Sweden-based entertainment broadcasting company Modern Time Group (OM:MTG B), has acquired a 75 percent stake in France-based pay-TV operator Trace Partners for $55 million. Trace Partners operates three music TV channels and a sports celebrity lifestyle TV channel. The stake is being acquired from Citizen Capital, Entrepreneur Venture, NextStage, and company management, which will retain the remaining 25 percent of the company.

Clarity Software Solutions, which provides on-demand document management and communications delivery solutions for the health insurance industry, has raised an undisclosed amount of growth equity funding from North Bridge. The company intends on using the funding to add executive professionals, invest in strategic sales and marketing initiatives, and expand its suite of products.

Enterprise security company CounterTack, which provides solutions to identify and analyze cyber-attacks in real-time, has raised $3 million in Series B funding from Siemens Venture Capital. The company has raised $24.5 million in funding to date.

Cybersecurity company Shape Security, has raised $40 million in Series C funding led by Norwest Venture Partners, with participation from Sierra Ventures, Kleiner Perkins & Caufield, Venrock, Google Ventures, TomorrowVentures, and Allegis Capital. The company has raised $66 million in funding to date. The new capital will be used to build out the company’s product line.

Malware scanning service company StopTheHacker, was acquired by Web performance and cybersecurity company CloudFlare. The acquisition will enable CloudFlare to prevent its content distribution systems from being used to spread malicious software. Terms were not disclosed.

Bulgaria-based BPO company Sofica Group, which provides call center services and telephone campaigns, was acquired by customer experience management solutions provider TeleTech Holdings (Nasdaq:TTEC). Sofica Group’s customer management services capabilities and broad European language competencies further enhances TeleTech’s Customer Management Services portfolio. Terms were not disclosed.

Equipos, which provides client reporting solutions for investment and wealth management firms, was acquired by investment and portfolio management software and services company, SimCorp. The acquisition will support SimCorp’s product strategy. Terms were not disclosed.
