ShopLocket, a provider of an online marketplace for hardware companies to list their products, was acquired by PCH International, a company offering consumer IT product and software development for businesses globally. The acquisition enables PCH and its hardware startup clients to set up physical pop-up stores. Terms were not disclosed.


Global Custom Commerce (dba Blinds.com), an online retailer of blinds, shades, and custom window treatments for consumers, was acquired by home improvements product retailer Home Depot (NYSE:HD).  The acquisition of Blinds.com positions Home Depot for expansion in the online window coverings market. Terms were not disclosed.

Mobile Content/apps

Fitmob, which offers a mobile application to help users find local fitness classes, has raised $9.8 million in equity and debt funding from Mayfield Fund, Silicon Valley Bank, and individual contributors.

Clarity Digital Group (dba Examiner.com), an online community-aggregated content website, which provides entertainment news, insight and information about community topics, was acquired by AXS.com, an online sports and entertainment ticketing service for consumers. Terms were not disclosed.

Add.On.Auto, a digital platform for marketing and selling automotive accessories, was acquired by Reynolds and Reynolds, a provider of automotive dealership software and services. The acquisition will enable Add.On.Auto to utilize Reynolds and Reynolds’ dealership footprint, sales and service network, and software development resources to grow its business. Terms were not disclosed.

Germany-based SoundCloud, which provides an audio platform that enables customers to create, record, promote, and share their originally-created sounds across the Web, has raised a reported $60 million in funding, valuing the company at about $700 million. The funding received was led by Institutional Venture Partners and Chermin Group, with participation from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, GGV Capital, Index Ventures, and Union Square Ventures. According to VentureWire the round closed last October but has not been announced or reported.


Higher Gear Group, which provides marketing, salesforce, and customer service automation CRM SaaS for automotive dealerships, announced its intent to merge with OneCommand, a multi-channel marketing and communications company. OneCommand’s brand will become the parent and industry-facing trademark for the two companies. The Higher Gear name will represent the product and be encompassed under OneCommand.

Whiteout Networks, a Germany-based developer of apps and cloud services for encrypted email communication, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from High-Tech-Gründerfonds and Bayernkapital. The company intends to use the funds for product development and market entry.

Ireland-based Copper.io, a company providing tools and support to deploy, operate, and monitor applications in the cloud, was acquired by Canada-based venture capital firm LX Ventures for $1.4 million. The acquisition marks another LX Ventures’ high growth strategy of acquiring, integrating, and accelerating early stage, high potential, technology companies poised for breakout.

Innoveo Solutions, a Switzerland-based company providing IT software products, was acquired by China-based Pactera Technology International, a company offering global consulting and technology services. Innoveo will become a fully owned entity of Pactera and will be renamed Pactera Switzerland AG, establishing an additional base for Pactera to serve a broad list of clients in the region. Terms were not disclosed.

Italy-based Dedalus, a provider of integrated health care services to public and private health market segments in Italy and internationally, has raised a reported $64.3 million in funding led by private investors.

Knowledgecentrix, a full-service information systems consulting firm that provides managed and professional services to businesses, was acquired by All Covered, which offers a broad range of systems, network and security integration services. Terms were not disclosed.
