IfOnly, a company offering a marketplace of unique collections and experiences with celebrities in the food, wine, and sports fields, has raised $12 million in funding led by New Enterprise Associates. The round is an expansion of the $3 million in funding the company raised from a group of individual investors.


Free-to-play mobile and online games developer Rumble Entertainment has raised $17.5 million in Series B funding led by Japan-based NEXON (TSE:3659), a developer of PC online games, social games, and mobile games. Google Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Triple Point Ventures participated in the round as well. The company has raised $35 million in venture capital funding to date.

Perka, a company that operates a loyalty mobile application designed to help neighborhood merchants manage profitable long-term customer relationships, was acquired by First Data Corporation, which provides electronic commerce and payment solutions for merchants, financial institutions, and card issuers. Terms were not disclosed.

SightEra Technologies, an Israel-based company offering Magisto, a Web application that automatically analyzes the unedited videos uploaded and assembles them into a single clip, has raised $13 million in funding led by Tenaya Capital.

Nextdoor.com, a company that offers a service allowing communities to create private websites to facilitate communication amongst neighbors and build stronger neighborhoods, has raised $60 million at a $500 million valuation in a round led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and Tiger Global Management.

ActiveBuilding, which operates a platform for improving the online living experience of apartment residents, was acquired by RealPage (NasdaqGS:RP). ActiveBuilding’s tool helps communities cater to the growing resident demographic that wants to be highly engaged with their community and their neighbor. Terms were not disclosed.

Switchyard Creative Group, a digital marketing and Web development agency developing social, eCommerce, mobile, and business-critical applications, was acquired by Rally Group, which develops digital and brand platforms. The purchase provides Rally with an influx of talent to its digital team and adds a third location in Portland, OR, joining existing offices in Seattle and Dallas.



Avado, a company that provides a cloud-based patient relationship management system for healthcare providers and patients, was acquired by WebMD (NasdaqGS:WBMD). Avado serves patients by providing various services including consolidate health records, health calendar, and custom health news. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.


Victrio, a provider of fraud prevention and identity authentication SaaS solutions, was acquired by Verint Systems (NasdaqGS:VRNT). Victrio’s solutions collect audio from calls into and out of businesses and compare it to the voiceprints of fraudsters in its database. Terms were not disclosed.

Q Factor Communications, a provider of software development kits to carriers for faster wireless transmission, has raised $6.5 million in funding led by Sigma Prime Ventures and Venrock. Q Factor’s software includes solutions for client side, server side, and end-to-end computing.

Choice Solutions, a 22-employee company that specializes in data analytics, integration solutions, and professional services for state and district-level education systems, was acquired by textbook publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Terms were not disclosed. The combination of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s educational content with Choice’s expertise in the areas of data science, reporting, and security will enable the company to provide a comprehensive learning solution based on rigorous instruction and scientific analysis.

Quadrus Development, an IT professional services and solutions firm, was acquired by Improving Holdings, which offers IT consulting, project outsourcing, training, and networked recruiting services. Quadrus Development’s offerings includes software development across Web, mobile, cloud, and desktop platforms for enterprise, product, and small to medium sized businesses.  Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
