Airbnb, an online marketplace for people to list, discover, and book living spaces around the world, has confirmed that the company has raised $200 million in Series A funding about a year ago. The investment was led by Founders Fund. Back in October 2012 Airbnb was reportedly raising the $200 million round at a valuation of $2.5 billion.

Novalon Games, creator of mobile gaming apps, has been acquired by Obscene Interactive, a subsidiary of OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB:OBJE) that develops mobile applications for smartphones and tablet computers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Brazil-based Clickae, a provider of online daily deals and offers, has been acquired by Cuponica, a company also offering daily deals and merchant discounts across Latin America. Terms were not disclosed.
Farsite Group, a data science firm offering decision-making and business intelligence tools based on predictive and advanced analytics, has been acquired by Information Control, a company offering information technology solutions including application development services and Accelerated AppDev, an agile application delivery tool. Terms were not disclosed.

Paxata, a developer of data analysis software for business analysts, has raised $8 million in funding led by Accel Partners. The company, which had been operating in stealth for the past 18 months, has now raised $10 million in total funding.

MediaCrossing, a digital media trading technology and services company, has raised $6 million in funding led by an individual investor. MediaCrossing focuses on programmatic trading, campaign optimization, media planning, media buying, machine learning, high frequency trading, monetization, and risk management.
Mezicall, which designs ring back tone solutions for mobile operators and media companies, has been acquired by RealNetworks (NasdaqGS:RNWK), a company offering network-delivered digital media applications and services to manage, play, and share digital media. The company was purchased from BlueRun Ventures, Thule Investments, Kreos Capital, Orkos Capital SAS, Ventech, and other shareholders.
domainfactory, one of Europe’s largest Web hosting companies with approximately 173,000 customers and 1.1 million domains under its management, has been acquired by Germany-based Internet hosting services company Host Europe Group. Terms were not disclosed.

Poland-based Interactive Solutions, a 160-employess digital agency, has been acquired by Publicis Groupe (ENXTPA:PUB). The new media shop will be integrated into Saatchi & Saatchi Poland, further boosting its integrated communications capabilities locally and across the Saatchi & Saatchi network. Terms were not disclosed.
Chellomedia, the international content division of Liberty Global (NasdaqGS:LBTY.A) that produces and distributes TV channels and offers advanced digital services to other international channel operators, is being acquired for €750 million ($1 billion) by AMC Networks (NasdaqGS:AMCX).

Stratoscale, an Israel-based startup that develops new virtualization technology to improve the performance and efficiency of large data centers, has raised $10 million in funding led by Battery Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners. Stratoscale specializes in building runtime software infrastructure for scalable computing technology that helps consumers unify computing and storage across data centers.

Altia Systems, a developer of a video and Web collaboration system, has raised an undisclosed amount in funding led by Naya Investors. The company has raised $6.7 million in funding to date.

Nutonian, a developer of machine-learning software to analyze big data, has raised a $4 million in funding led by Atlas Venture. The company’s software offers data mining solutions for analysts, researchers, and engineers that work in the microbiology, material sciences, and satellite communications fields.
Money Forward, a Japan-based a provider of online personal accounting software for consumers and corporate users, has raised $5 million in funding led by Japan-based Jafco. The company’s app allows individuals to manage their daily expenses by integrating with their bank passbooks and credit purchase history with information scraped from their Web bank and credit accounts.
PeopleMatter, a developer of processes and software tools to analyze, model, and measure the impact of workforce on business performance, has raised a $16 million in funding led by StarVest Partners. PeopleMatter’s software enables companies to manage hiring, training, scheduling and communication online with large hourly workforces.
Cyphort, a company that develops software and appliance-based solutions to protect enterprises and governments against cybercrime attacks, has raised $15.5 million in funding led by Trinity Ventures, Foundation Capital, and Matrix Capital. Cyphort’s network-independent and distributed approach protects cloud computing multi-tenant infrastructures where extensive use of virtualization are creating growing security gaps.
Pivot3, a provider of video surveillance and virtual desktop converged infrastructure storage appliances, has raised more than $14 million in funding co-led by InterWest Partners and Mesirow Financial Capital Partners, with participation from existing backers Focus Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Silver Creek Ventures, Northleaf Ventures, and a private investor.
Amazon.com (NasdaqGS: AMZN) has acquired TenMarks Education, a provider of personalized math tutoring via SaaS. No financial terms were disclosed. TenMarks had raised funding from Catamount Ventures and Birchmere Ventures.
