Bread Labs, a 2.5 year old startup that had raised $3.5 million to let people make money or generate donations by designing interstitial ads, has been acquired by Yahoo(NasdaqGS:YHOO). These ads could promote a product or cause and would be shown to people who click links the designer shared through Bread’s URL shortener.

China-based Far Glory, which provides copyright management solution and related consultancy services, has sold a 46.6 percent equity stake to Cheer Plan Limited. Terms were not disclosed. The company also provides a content licensing solution and distributes copyright protected items through the Beijing e-License.
Mobile native advertising and personalization technology provider Hubbl was acquired by mobile ad platform company Airpush. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Following the deal, Hubbl’s personalized native ads technology will be combined with Airpush’s network of roughly 120,000 mobile apps to create a native ad platform for mobile.
Varolii, which provides on-demand communication software and services that offer automated communications, such as flight cancellation notices, fraud detection alerts, and outage notifications, has been acquired by Nuance Communications (NasdaqGS:NUAN). Varolli’s messages are sent over the phone through text messaging, fax, or email. Nuance Communications acquired the company from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, BlueRun Ventures, InterWest Partners, Institutional Venture Partners, and Longworth Venture Partners.

With a strong understanding of local business needs and an established position within the Scottish business community, Media Vision is responsible for approximately a quarter of all planning and buying of advertising media in Scotland. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gramophone, a magazine owned by Haymarket Media Group was acquired by the Mark Allen Group, a family-owned independent company with 50 magazines and journals in different markets. Gramophone was founded in 1923 and contains classical music reviews. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The India Today Group, a consumer magazine publisher in India, has been acquired by Reliance Communications (BSE:532712), which provides integrated converged telecommunications services to individual, enterprise, and carrier customers in India and internationally. Terms were not disclosed.
NextMedia Group, a portfolio company of Angelo Gordon and Strategic Value Partners, has sold its 33 radio stations to an affiliate of Digity. No financial terms were disclosed.

Idea Device Technologies, an India-based data center automation startup, has raised $4 million in Series A funding from Sequoia Capital.
AnyDATA, which designs and manufactures wireless communication devices, has been acquired by Sierra Wireless, a company providing cellular wireless solutions to the machine-to-machine and connected device markets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. AnyDATA’s products include wireless smartphones and tablets, broadband cellular modems and Wi-Fi routers, mobile hotspots, USB modems, wireless GPS and CDMA devices, and mobile-to-mobile tracking solutions.
Taiwan-based BroadWeb, which engages in the development of network-based intrusion prevention systems, was acquired by Japan-based Trend Micro (TSE:4704), a developer of security-related software for computers and the Internet. Terms were not disclosed.
Antenna Sofware, a mobile enterprise software company offering solutions for application creation and management, has been acquired by business processes automation and CRM software company Pegasystems (NasdaqGS:PEGA). Terms were not disclosed. Antenna Software had raised over $20 million in funding from Intel Capital, North Bridge Ventures Partners, Polaris Partners, and Covera Ventures (fka Sabine Ventures Management).

Hackermeter, which offers a website that matches developers with companies through code challenge portfolios, has been acquired by Pinterest. Terms were not disclosed. Prior to the purchase, Hackermeter had only been available for two months, and the company was trying to raise $0.75 million.
InterSec Research, a provider of business intelligence services to institutional asset management firms, was acquired by Investment Metrics, a provider of investment performance analytics and reporting solutions for institutional investors and advisors. The company was sold by Commerce Holdings for an undisclosed amount.
