AdTheorent, a provider of a mobile ad network that features real-time bidding, has raised $4 million in funding led by Verizon Investments, with participation from Mogility Capital and OmniCapital Group. AdTheorent offers the attributes of first generation mobile ad networks such as premium mobile sites, brand safety, custom execution, managed services, along with enhanced solutions that include data-driven technology including RTB and real-time data-driven predictive modeling.

Singapore-based AppMakr, which provides a do-it-yourself application creation platform enabling users to publish their own iPhone applications, Android applications, and HTML5 mobile formatted Websites, has been acquired by Infinite Monkeys, which offers a similar drag-and-drop mobile app builder. Terms were not disclosed.

Facilitate Digital (ASX:FAC), an Australia-based company that creates digital advertising and direct marketing solutions for Web publishers and marketers, was acquired for an enterprise value of $13.8 million by Australia-based Internet technology and marketing company Adslot. Facilitate Digital engages in publishing, tracking, reporting, and optimizing digital marketing solutions, such as online display advertising, search marketing, affiliate and performance advertising, rich media, and video advertising. Based on LTM financials based on as of June 30, 2013, the transaction values the company at 3.6x revenue.

Intelligence Dialogue Systems, Inc., a Spain-based startup focused on natural language recognition, has been acquired by Intel (NasdaqGS:INTC). The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but it is reportedly more than €20 million ($26 million). It comes just two months after Intel announced its acquisition of Omek, an Israel-based maker of gesture-based interfaces, reportedly for approximately $40 million.

Zenith Romania, which operates as a media communications agency, was acquired by Publicis Groupe (ENXTPA:PUB). The company offers media services including buying, planning, communications strategy, along with research and ROI evaluation services. The company was founded in 2000 and is based in Bucharest, Romania. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Tesoro Business Media, the producer of Store Brands Decisions and Green Retail Decisions events and digital media, was acquired by Stagnito Media, which publishes business-to-business magazines for food, gourmet, and convenience store retailers, and operates related websites. Launched in 2011, Store Brands Decisions operates in the same vertical market as Stagnito Media’s Private Label Store Brands properties. Terms were not disclosed.

Zynstra, a UK-based provider of hybrid cloud solutions for small and medium-sized business, has raised $3.8 million in Series A funding led by Octopus Investments. This brings the total amount raised by the company to just over $6 million. For a monthly fee Zynstra gives SMEs with up to 250 employees a fully managed IT solution that combines the reliability and security of on-premise IT with the economics and flexibility of the cloud.

Fring, an early startup focused on creating group messaging and video calling apps for mobile phones, has been sold to Genband, a provider of services such as IP gateways and billing and other services to mobile, fixed, and cable carriers. Terms of the deal have not been officially disclosed, but TechCrunch and Reuters report a price of $50 million. Genband has also raised $343 million round of funding from One Equity Partners, Sevin Rosen Funds, and Venrock in January of this year. This is its first acquisition since the company’s investment was announced.

Digicon, a digital consulting firm specializing in website design and the use of various Web building tools, has been acquired by Deloitte Digital. The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, will see Deloitte integrate Digicon’s team of 20 digital specialists into its team of 200 local consultants.

Eurodata, a Canada-based provider of IT products and services, has been acquired by Canada-based TERiX, a service provider of outsourced IT services. The Eurodata acquisition builds on the presence TERiX has established in Canada over the past 10 years by offering complementary product support services and greater market reach. Terms were not disclosed.

B!T, a Portuguese-language online technology news outlet focusing on the Portuguese and Brazilian markets, has been acquired by France-based NetMediaEurope, an online IT publisher. Terms were not disclosed. As well as strengthening NetMediaEurope’s position as an IT B-to-B network, it enables the company to serve the rapidly growing Latin American market as well.

SurveyMonkey has sold its ZoomPanel community to U.S. sampling and data collection provider Critical Mix. The company will be combined with its own online panel sample in the U.S., UK, France, Canada, and Australia. ZoomPanel is a consumer online research community, with panelists validated by data quality solution TrueSample. Terms were not disclosed.
