Germany-based myphotobook, an eCommerce company specializing in personalized photo products for consumers, is being acquired for €10.5 million ($13.9 million) by Elanders (OM:ELAN B), from Holtzbrinck Digital. myphotobook reportedly generated revenues of more than €16 million ($21.2 million) in 2012.

ThirdLove, a company offering a new lingerie brand and corresponding mobile app, has raised $5.6 million in seed funding led by NEA, and joined by Andreessen Horowitz, Felicis Ventures, Novel TMT, and individual investors.

StyleSaint, which operates as a technology-fueled apparel brand, has raised $4.3 million in Series A funding from General Catalyst Partners and e.Ventures. The funding will be used to launch the company’s eCommerce platform. StyleSaint is also backed by Andreessen Horowitz and CrossCut Ventures.

InstaEDU, which offers a site that connects students with tutors over live chat and video sessions, raised $4 million in Series A funding led by Battery Ventures, with the participation of The Social+Capital Partnership, which led the company’s seed round last year. This brings the total invested to date in the two year old startup to $5.1 million.

Wanderu, a startup offering online bus and train ticket booking services, has raised $2.45 million in Series A funding led by Alta Ventures Mexico, with participation from Drummond Road Capital. The company plans to use the capital to expand its market coverage and further develop its software.

Bustle.com, an online news destination for women, has launched with $6.5 million in funding led by Time Warner Investments and The Social+Capital Partnership, with participation from Google Ventures, 500 Startups, and Rothenberg Ventures. The funding will be used to expand the Bustle site and content management system, while also enabling the company to hire a larger technology and editorial team.

Tapastic, which offers a platform to share and view webcomics and visual stories, has raised an additional $0.65 million in seed funding from Adam D’Angelo, 500 Startups, and Strong Ventures, bringing total funding to $1.4 million since being founded.

Matcha.tv, a digital video recommendation engine, was acquired by Apple (NasdaqGS: AAPL). No financial terms were disclosed, although VentureBeat reports the value at between $1 million and $1.5 million. Matcha had been seeded by Plug & Play Ventures and Media Camp.

Change Healthcare, which offers a Web-based tool that helps consumers find deals for medical procedures and services, including those related to dental, vision, and pharmacy, has raised $15 million in Series D funding led by new investor HLM Venture Partners, with participation from Noro-Moseley Partners and all of the company’s existing investors. Change Healthcare has now raised a total of $32 million.

Precog, an analytics technology startup that enables businesses to store, integrate, and analyze large volumes of modern, semi-structured data, has been acquired by RichRelevance, a company that powers personalized shopping experiences for online retailers. Terms were not disclosed. Precog had previously raised $0.75 million in funding. The purchase follows RichRelevance’s May 2013 acquisition of Sweden-based online merchandising company Avail.

Marketwell, a company focused on delivering prescriptive analytical services that allow companies to optimize profit and growth, has been acquired by big data analytics firm Antuit. The company’s suite of analytical services support the activities of targeting, acquiring, understanding, retaining, and collaborating with customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Netherlands-based VeliQ, a startup developing enterprise mobile-device management software, has closed a $9 million Series B round led by Netherlands-based firm Northcap Partners and joined by T-Venture. The company plans to use the funding for international expansion and sales through its partner network, which includes Deutsche Telekom, Koninklijke, Portugal Telecom, and VimpelCom.

Zipmark, a provider of payment solutions that enable users to pay bills, or send and receive money from their smartphones, has raised $1.5 million in a tranche to its seed round of funding led by Village Ventures.

Syntellia, a developer of keyboard technology solutions for touch-screen devices, has raised $3 million in Series A funding from Highland Capital Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Middleland Capital, and others.

Red Eagle Consulting, a solutions provider in the data capture and document management industry, was acquired by DoxTek, which offers enterprise-wide electronic document solutions and hardware. This marks the first acquisition for DoxTek, whose solutions capture, manage, store, retrieve, and output information electronically.

CPAS Systems, a provider of pension administration software to the private and public sectors, has been acquired by business process and document management services company Xerox (NYSE:XRX). CPAS’ software simplifies administration and record keeping for defined benefit, defined contribution, and hybrid retirement savings plans as well as health, welfare, and group life insurance premiums. Terms were not disclosed.

Solutionary, a security and compliance management solutions provider, has been acquired by Japan-based telecommunications company Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (TSE:9432), from Hercules Technology Growth Capital (NYSE:HTGC), Clearlake Capital Group, and other shareholders. Terms were not disclosed. Solutionary protects traditional and virtual IT infrastructures, cloud environments, and mobile data, enabling its clients to optimize security programs, make informed decisions, achieve compliance, and reduce costs.

Arkami, a security company that makes personal identity-management technology, has raised a $1.8 million Series A round of funding from McNeel Capital and individual investors. The company offers a portable encrypted password-management device called myIDkey, which enables users to carry and use personal identity data such as IDs and passwords for websites and other private files.

Marakana, a company that organizes open source software training courses, has been acquired for an undisclosed amount by Twitter. The company publishes learning resources, shares knowledge from industry leaders, and provides a place to share useful information.
